Better Fuel economy !
Improved Performance!
What is the DPF ( Diesel Particle Filter)?
Most diesel passenger cars, vans and commercial vehicles built after 2006 have a DPF filter
installed in the exhaust system.
Peugeot , Citroen have had them installed from 2001 together with an additive system
The filter is designed to reduce the soot particles from engine combustion from
entering the atmosphere.
What it does?...
the filter works by trapping the soot in a ceramic filter membrane and then using
both passive and active regeneration to keep the filter clean.
Eventually all filters will clog up as they have an expected lifetime and are
a service item not covered by warranty.
They average approx £1000 to replace including labour and can be as much as £3000.
The Affect of DPF filters!...
Dpf filters reduce the fuel economy on all vehicles they are fitted to due to the increase
in operating temperature of the engine and the backpressure buildup.
In most parts of the world DPF filters are not a necessary requirement and with
modern low sulphur diesel soot particles are already reduced.
How do we remove the DPF system?...
We firstly reprogram the engine managment system to remove all DPF monitoring and
operational structures.
We then remove the obstruction in the filter housing and refit ,leaving everything looking
like it is untouched.
What is the cost?
Typically the cost is £350+ vat but is vehicle specific.
How Long does it take?
We usually need the vehicle for a full Day.
